Expanding Our Weekend Hours To Better Serve SDSU Students and the Local Community!

Sala Thai recognizes that college life for SDSU students is a whirlwind of classes, study sessions, social events, and, of course, late-night cravings. For many students, the hours between dusk and dawn are prime time for productivity, whether they're cramming for exams, working on projects, or simply unwinding after a long day. This is where late-night dining options come into play, offering more than just a meal—they provide a vital service that supports the unique lifestyle of college students. In recognition of this, Sala Thai has decided to extend hours for both dine-in and takeout/delivery on Friday and Saturday nights!

Fuel for the Night Owls

Many students find that their most productive hours are late at night. Whether it's finishing a term paper or preparing for a big presentation, having access to food during these hours is crucial. Late-night dining options ensure that students can stay fueled and focused, without having to resort to unhealthy snacks or energy drinks. With a varied selection of fresh and healthy Thai dishes full of proteins and nutrients, Sala Thai can provide a vital resource students.

Social Hub

Late-night eateries often become social hubs for students. They provide a space where friends can gather, unwind, and share a meal after a long day. These spots foster a sense of community and belonging, which is essential for students who are away from home and looking to build new connections. This one of many reasons, Sala Thai recently remodeled the dining area to create a fun, beautiful, and engaging atmosphere for students and our many other guests to congregate and enjoy delicious Thai flavors and treats.

Convenience and Accessibility

Not all students have the luxury of a well-stocked kitchen or the time to cook meals. Late-night dining options offer convenience and accessibility, allowing students to grab a quick bite without interrupting their busy schedules. This is especially important for those who have late-night classes, part-time jobs, or extracurricular activities. Located less than a mile from campus, Sala Thai enjoys close proximity to a wealth of student housing and apartments.

Supporting Local Businesses

Late-night dining options near colleges also benefit the local economy. These establishments often rely on the student population for business, and in turn, they provide jobs and contribute to the vibrancy of the community. Supporting these businesses helps create a symbiotic relationship between the college and the surrounding area. Our location in the Vons shopping center offers convenient proximity to grocery shopping and other amenities, allowing diners the opportunity to knockout multiple errands before or after dining with us!

Sala Thai's new late-night dining options are more than just a convenience—they are an essential part of the college experience. We look forward to providing nourishment, fostering community, and supporting our neighboring businesses. As SDSU continues to evolve and adapt to the needs of their students, ensuring access to quality late-night dining options should be a priority and we look to support this need. After all, a well-fed student is a happy and successful student.
